FINDING YOUR TWIN SPIRIT

At this point in our research on twin spirits, it appears that you are reunited with your twin spirit when you learn to love yourself and are happy with who you are as a person. A great guide to help you do this is the Get The MOST From Yourself series of articles at Computer Times (http://computertimes.com)

Soul mates can be a big help on our life journey to help find your twin spirit. Many people turn to personal connection places to help find their soul mates, like the places shown in the ads above. We used to be affiliated with the most advertised match service that advertises they are more than a picture and a paragraph. After having two of our single female editors review this service, we dropped that affiliation since they felt the matches were completely inaccurate. These reviews were completed over a two-year period by editors in two separate geographical locations so we thought we performed a good review of this service.

We are now affiliated with Match.com, and their more sophisticated compatibility site, Chemistry.com. In our initial testing of Match.com's data entry engine, we were very impressed with the ease in which you can enter information, edit information, and upload photos. Their response time to photo uploads was incredibly fast. We also appreciated the quick presentation of photos so you could see what they looked like on the screen after they are uploaded. We cropped one of our photos to an irregular size (not the same width to height proportion of a standard 4 x 6 inch photo), and found the screen display to be rather distorted. So, if you are cropping a photo to upload to Match.com, be sure to keep the proportional width to height approximately the same to get the best results. Match.com is definitely much more than a picture and a paragraph. We filled in their forms to the max, stretching our imagination to fill in the maximum number of characters in all of the text boxes. We also made every selection in all of their preference categories like smoker, drinker, religion, etc. There is quite an extensive list of item preferences. Complete start to finish took about an hour. While we never actually activated the account (by subscribing to Match.com) we found that our entered information was, to our surprise, still posted on their Web site. It appears that even if you skip the subscription step, Match.com still lists you as a potential match. When you have people send you "winks" or e-mails, though, you are not able to open them or reply to them. You are also not able to e-mail other people on Match.com until you subscribe. So, if you are simply trying out their data entry engine, as we were doing, be aware that all of your information will be posted even if you did not activate a subscription, you just won't have the capability to accept or send information to anyone.

What was interesting is when our complete profile was listed, Match.com showed that we had one message sent to us, which of course we could not open since we were not an actual subscriber. When we modified the profile and simply stated that we were reviewing Match.com, we received three messages in the same amount of time, which was approximately a 24-hour period. Not sure if that indicates anything significant but it was interesting.

We hope to have one of our single editors do a complete 6-month test of Match.com, and Chemistry.com in the near future. Until then, if you are looking for a personal connection service that offers more than a picture and a paragraph, you might want to try Match.com and Chemistry.com, and then let us know your experience so we can post it on this page. Also, if you have already tried one of these services, we would appreciate your comments on them so we can share them with our readers. Please e-mail your comments to comptimes@aol.com with the subject line MATCH EXPERIENCE or CHEMISTRY EXPERIENCE. Thank you.
